Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) is Asia’s first dedicated Medical Devices Manufacturing Park, spread over an area of 270 acres with 200-250 manufacturing units. AMTZ is a ‘One-Stop- Solution’ with scientific facilities such as EMI/EMC testing, Biomaterials testing, Gamma Irradiation, 3D design & Rapid Prototyping facility, manufacturing units, regulatory bodies, incubation centers with a complete ecosystem required for medical device manufacturing. This innovative solution can not only reduce the cost of manufacturing up to 40% and also simplifies the end-to- end operations. This would reduce the import dependency, which is presently around 75%. AMTZ is complimented with Capital Intensive Scientific Facilities like Electro-Magnetic Interference Testing, Biomaterials Testing, Gamma Irradiation, Rapid Prototyping Centre, etc., AMTZ envisions to put India on the global map of high end medical equipment production and make health care products affordable and accessible not only for India but for world at large.
Quality Council of India (QCI) is an autonomous body that works to assure quality standards across all spheres of economic and social activities. Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, along with other key industry associations, i.e. Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India, Confederation of Indian Industry and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, formed QCI in 1997 to provide accreditation services in the fields of education, healthcare, industries, institutions, professionals, quality promotion and quality assessment.
AiMeD is an Umbrella Association of Indian Manufacturers of Medical Devices covering all types of Medical Devices including Consumables, Disposables, Equipments, Instruments, Electronics, Diagnostics and Implants. With a Primary Membership of over 300 Manufacturers and additionally of over 200 Associate Members representing the interest of over 700 Manufacturers of Medical Devices to address the manufacturer’s problems.
